Paolo Veronese - Paintings

Paolo Veronese, whose actual name was Paolo Caliari, was one of the most important painters of Venetian Renaissance.
Born: in 1528 in Verona
Died: 19 April 1588 in Venice
Trained by the painter Gabriele di Piero, Paolo Veronese begins to study the Mannerist painting of Parmigianino’s, the famous painter of the so-called “Madonna with the Long Neck”, in his early work. Later he succeeds in making a name for himself with representative religious and humanistic paintings in Venice. His works, the compositional appealing effect of which is achieved by painted architecture, convince due to Veronese’s ability to blend Mannerism with the style of the High Renaissance.
