Pieter de Hooch - Peintures
Pieter de Hooch, qui suit un enseignement auprès de Nicolas Berchem, est l’un des plus importants peintres néerlandais de genre et d’intérieurs du baroque.
Né le 20/12/1629 à Rotterdam.
Mort après 1684 à Harleem.
Les premières œuvres de Pieter de Hooch comptent essentiellement des scènes d’auberges et de soldats. Ce n’est que plus tard qu’il commence à peindre des intérieurs en se basant sur les œuvres de Jan Vermeer et de Carel Fabritius pour sa représentation des jeux de lumière et pour les nuances de ses couleurs. Ces intérieurs représentent des sujets du quotidien de la société bourgeoise. Pieter de Hooch parvient à reproduire le quotidien bourgeois en offrant à ses tableaux une composition digne de celle d’une nature morte. Pour ce faire, il utilise des couleurs vives, qui tranchent aux compositions à l’atmosphère profondément paisible. Tandis qu’il déménage à Amsterdam en 1661, son œuvre connait un grand changement au niveau de la thématique. Pieter de Hooch est en effet influencé par la peinture qui marque la cour française, et c’est ainsi qu’il se met à peindre la grande bourgeoise dans ses appartements luxueux. 		Pieter de Hooch
