Luis Ricardo Falero - Paintings

Luis Ricardo Falero, originating from a noble house, was a Spanish painter and graphic artist with great success in the French salons around 1870.
Born on May 23, 1851 in Granada.
Died on December 07, 1896 in London.
Despite of the fact that his parents wanted him to complete a military education, Luis Ricardo Falero secretly dropped out to Paris in order to paint and to study what he wanted. In Paris, which he had already known due to his international school education, he soon achieved great success with seductive portraits of women in Oriental and allegorical magical disguises. Since in the French salon scene, it was not allowed to just paint naked women, such representations were often mythologically glorified. Furthermore, Falero also became a master in this field, but only in France and the United States. His home country still reacted very conservatively to such "obscenity".
