Domenico Fetti - Paintings

Domenico Fetti (also called Feti) was an Italian painter and is considered the pioneer of the Baroque Painting in Northern Italy.
Born around 1589 in Rome.
Died on April 16, 1623 in Venice.
Domenico Fetti, who was, among others, influenced by the works of Adam Elsheimer and Peter Paul Rubens, had a pronounced taste for theatrical painted parables of biblical parables, by which he created a new type of image. His major works include the frescoes in the Mantua cathedral and the Palazzo Ducale in Mantua, which he created when he was court painter to Duke Ferdinand of Gonzaga.
