Henri Lebasque - Bilder und Gemälde


Henri Lebasque (Champigné, 25. September 1865 – Le Cannet, 7. August 1937) – Französischer Maler des Post-Impressionnismus. Henri Lebasque erhält seine Ausbildung an der Ecole des Beaux-Arts in Paris, danach arbeitet er im Atelier von Bonnat und stellt fortan regelmäßig seine Werke in den Pariser Salons aus. Er reist nach England und bewundert dort Turner. In Frankreich lernt er Camille Pissarro kennen, der ihn stark beeinflussen wird. Lebasque bevorzugt leuchtende Farben und heitere Motive, etwa Strandansichten oder Sommerlandschaften. Er wird der „Maler des Lichts und der Freude“ genannt. Er arbeitet an der Ausschmückung verschiedener Theatergebäude in Paris und wird ab 1917 als Armeemaler arbeiten. Er wird 1925 mit dem Orden des Offiziers der Fremden Legion ausgezeichnet.
